Factoid
I mentioned earlier how Victor Cruz averaged 52 yards on his 9 TDs last year, which is a remarkable number. It’s pulled from the chart below (average distance of touchdowns is one of the stats that we track).
In the last 10 years, only 19 wide receivers have averaged over 40 yards on touchdown catches (that is, among those with at least 6 TD receptions – no credit for a guy who’s only TD is a 73-yard bomb).
Two other guys from last year also make this list – Pierre Garcon (very impressive, considering what was around him) and Julio Jones (also impressive, with him being just a rookie).

Thanks as always, Ian. Now for the money question: how did those WRs do the next year?

Moise: I ran the Factoid on Cruz a couple of days ago. The guys over 50 yards haven't done well. If you look at the 40-plus range, you'll see some names coming up multiple times. Mike Wallace, Santana Moss, Joey Galloway.

I do remember that Factoid. That one had the list on WRs averaging 50 yards or more on 6 TDs; this is 40. So, the sample size here is considerably larger. That's why I thought to ask for this list rather than rely on the previous one. But, if it's too much work, I certainly understand. I continue to be awed by all the work that you do and that you share!
