Eli Manning is a good quarterback. He’s won two Super Bowls in the last five years. But he’s not flawless.
Look at the below chart, which shows frequency of turnovers (both interceptions of fumbles). If you look at turnovers and overall touches (pass attempts, sacks and run attempts by quarterbacks), Manning has turned the ball over more frequently than any quarterback in the league over the last three years.
The chart shows both fumbles (F) and fumbles lost (FL). In the turnover portion, only the fumbles lost – the actual turnovers – count towards that total. I’m also showing only quarterbacks with at least 1000 plays in the last three years.
