Factoid
Mike Shanahan has churned through a lot of running backs recently. Seems like every year with his teams, some unheralded back rises up and puts up good numbers for at least part of the season.
Shanahan’s last eight teams, in fact, have been led in scoring by eight different running backs.
Shanahan coached Denver through the 2008 season. After a year off, he resurfaced with Washington.
For the chart below, I’m looking at just running backs. And I’m going with the running back who scored the most touchdowns, whether they be by run, pass or both.
