Affordable Trophies joins Fantasy Index Open

Posted Jun. 19 at 11:13 AM

The stakes just got higher for the Fantasy Index Open. Affordable Trophies has joined us as a partner for this event; they will provide a top-of-the-line, totally awesome trophy to the winner of this year’s event.

Affordable Trophies has been in the fantasy business for 17 years. The trophy they’re giving to the winner of this competition is very impressive. For photos, check out their website.

The trophy will be mailed to the winner in mid-January.

The “Fantasy Index Open” is just like the Experts Poll that’s appeared in the magazine for the last 22 years, except it’s open to everyone – it’s an all-comers competition. No purchase or obligations; we’re just trying to find the best fantasy analyst out there.

This is the contest where you submit a top 20 at each of the six positions (QB, RB, WR, TE, PK and defenses). We’ll score all the entries using a complex scoring grid. In short: the higher you rank a player, the more he counts towards your score.

The winner of the competition, in addition to the fine trophy provided by Affordable Trophies, will also be invited to compete in the Experts Poll in the 2013 edition of the magazine. This competition could be your ticket to fantasy football stardom.

For complete rules and an entry form, send an email to FantasyIndexOpen@gmail.com. You’ll receive an email back within a half a day (likely much earlier).

Entries must be received by the end of the day this Sunday (June 24). That’s an early deadline, but we want a level playing field. We want the competitors to compile their own lists (not just take the list out of our magazine and make a few changes here and there).
