When the Carolina Panthers selected Jonathan Stewart with the 13th pick of the draft, they had a little inside information.
The doctor who operated on Stewart’s toe in March, is also one of Carolina’s team physicians: Robert Anderson. Stewart traveled to Charlotte for the surgery and got a peek at the team’s stadium, according to an article in The Charlotte Observer.
Stewart is expected to be fully healthy before training camp. He’ll likely share time with DeAngelo Williams, and they’ll both run behind a line that got fortified when Carolina traded into the first round to select tackle Jeff Otah of Pitt.
