Factoid
In the last 20 years, 23 kickers have scored 140-plus points in a season. But what are the chances of those kickers coming back and having another monster season? That’s the key question.
Now, four of these kickers played last year, so time will tell how they fare. Of the other 19, only two have scored over 130 points the next year. Another five at least went over 120 points (which is still pretty good).
So in ballpark terms, there’s been about a one-in-three success rate when selecting kickers coming off big years.
