Looking at how many sacks were allowed last year, that chart speaks in favor of the San Francisco defense. Only four teams allowed 50-plus sacks last year, and three of them are in the NFC West – Rams, Cardinals and Seahawks.
That potentially could benefit the 49ers defense. In many fantasy scoring systems, getting to the quarterback is a key component.
Below is the list of all teams that have allowed 50 or more sacks in the last 10 years. There aren’t many. Four of these teams are from the 2011 season (Miami being the fourth).
