If you want a high-scoring kicker, you go after a good team. That’s the rule of thumb at that position.
Below is the list of the top 40 scoring teams (in kicking points) of the last 20 years. Only one of these teams (the 2005 Cardinals) finished with a losing record. Only 3 others finished with 8-8 records.
I’ve got the three 8-8 teams in italics. I’ve got the Cardinals in bold.
So 36 of the other 40 teams – 90 percent – finished with winning records.

shhhhhhh ... (I make money every year off of fantasy competitors who figure "lessee, I'm thinking Mediocre Team will drive the ball OK between the 20s but then stall in the Red Zone, so I'll choose their kicker!")
