When a player returns a kickoff or punt for a touchdown in the preseason, does that make him more (or less) likely to do the same in the regular season?
Below are the last 27 guys to score on kick returns in the preseason. (And the last guy to do it twice, like Holliday, played for the Texans – Jacoby Jones.)
Of these players, which come from the last five seasons (and apologies, I don’t have access to the 2009 preseason stats), there is a fair amount of success in the regular season. A third of those players (9) also scored touchdowns in the regular season.
