Around the NFL
Jay Cutler has been diagnosed with diabetes, the Denver Post is reporting.
Cutler has Type 1 diabetes, the article says, meaning he’ll be dependent on insulin. But the condition is not expected to have a significant impact on his play.
The article notes that numerous athletes in the past have competed with Type 1 diabetes, including baseball’s Ron Santo and Jackie Robinson, hockey’s Bobby Clarke, and NFL players Wade Wilson, Jonathan Hayes, Jay Leeuwenburg and Mike Echols.
The article, written by Mike Klis, can be accessed at the Denver Post website.
