I was feeling pretty good about my picks heading into Monday night, sitting at 140 with Darren McFadden yet to play. Sadly, this isn't a PPR league and McFadden didn't score, so his 13 receptions didn't mean very much. I'm somewhere in the 400s out of about 1,000 entrants, which is as mediocre as you can get. The league home page can be seen at this link.
For this week, I'm going with the following selections.
Quarterback: Drew Brees and Tom Brady. I love Brady's matchup up at home with Arizona. I got too cute not picking Brees last week. Interceptions don't hurt, New Orleans' defense is terrible, and the Saints don't do much running.
Running back: DeAngelo Williams! Nah, just kidding. Guy cost me a win last week and I neither forget nor forgive. I'm going to go with a couple of outlier choices, both of whom are coming off torn ACLs: Jamaal Charles and Adrian Peterson. Like the talent, like the matchups.
Wide receiver: Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Julio Jones. Same three as last week.
Tight end: Jimmy Graham and Aaron Hernandez. Again.
Kicker: This was the spot that killed my team last week, as neither Garrett Hartley nor Mason Crosby did anything for me. So this week I'll go with the top two kickers in the land, David Akers and Stephen Gostkowski.

Wondering what you thought of adding James Jones this week with Jennings doubtfull. Would be dropping Streater.

For this week I like Jones a lot, since Jennings probably won't play. Long-term, I like Streater better, so I'd rather drop somebody else. Jones might not help you much after this week.

Andy: 10 team standard scoring (non ppr): WR's are Nelson, Bryant, Decker & Blackmon. What are your thoughts on dropping either Olsen or Rudolph or Mendenhall (or 1 of the above) to try and claim Cobb, Amendola, S. Rice, James Jones, S. Hill, Jeffery, LaFell or Collie? I'm not sure any of the FA's are an upgrade over who I already have under this format. Do you like any of them better? Thanks for any advice.

Peter - Cobb is the one I would consider. Are there plenty of comparable TEs to Rudolph available if you dropped him? I like Rudolph, but don't think he's going to be so much better than Olsen that I'd mind letting him go, if there are other decent TEs in free agency anyway.
