MJD will mean Victory

Posted Sep. 19 at 08:01 AM

My SuperLeague lineup flopped last week. I started Andre, Calvin and Julio at wide receiver, and those guys collectively were a worse play than any of the four starting wideouts in the Giants-Bucs game. Aaron Hernandez got hurt. Jamaal Charles was a goofy pick.

So it's time for revenge, and I think I've got this thing figured out now. Here we go.

Quarterbacks: Drew Brees and Cam Newton. Brees almost has to be a weekly choice in this league. Newton has a soft matchup and will run some.

Running Backs: Maurice Jones-Drew and Michael Bush. Jones-Drew matches up with a team he's put up huge numbers against his entire career. Bush will be a full-time guy against a soft run defense.

Wide Receivers: Calvin Johnson, Victor Cruz and Julio Jones. Johnson is due for a huge game. Cruz is healthier than Nicks in a likely shootout. Jones won't be shutdown two weeks in a row.

Tight Ends: Jimmy Graham and Vernon Davis. Kansas City has no chance of covering Graham, while Davis has caught 7 of the last 9 TDs Alex Smith has thrown.

Kickers: David Akers and Robbie Gould. The Bears should spend the entire game in the red zone against the Rams. Akers is the right guy on the right team to be the No. 1 kicker almost every week.

I'm currently 481st out of more than 1,000 participants, which is embarrassing. Time to get back on track. The league home page can be seen right here.

Andy I would maybe consider Brandon Marshall at home vs rams in place of julio who has to travel through three time zones and play against a 2-0 hot S.D. team.I think Cutler will play like he did in game one.

Do I have to catch the ball for Brandon, too? But thank you, I will consider replacing Julio.

Just when I thought Julio was a lock, week in and week out, he laid that egg. Still, I'm ranked # 21 and gaining on the front-runners. Look out guys!
