Factoid
When a kicker scores 6 field goals in a game (like Ryan Succop did last week in New Orleans) does that mean he’s more likely to have a big game the following week? Is that a sign that the offense can’t get it done in the red zone or whatever?
Or is it just a fluke deal?
The historical numbers indicate that we shouldn’t count on another great game from Succop. In the last 20 years, 21 other kickers were standing in Succop’s shoes. Only three of those guys kicked more than 2 field goals. Fewer than half scored more than 6 points.
