Factoid
Lions suffer a crippling loss at Minnesota, but Calvin Johnson still put up huge numbers – 12 catches for 207 yards and 1 TD. Monster day for Megatron.
Remarkably, that’s the fourth time he’s gone over 200 yards in less than a year. He went over 200 in regular-season games late last year against Oakland and Green Bay, and he went over 200 again in a playff loss at New Orleans.
Only one receiver in league history – Jerry Rice – has made it up to five games over 200.
Here’s the rundown of all receivers (and there aren’t many of them) with at least two since the move to the 16-game schedule in 1978.
MOST 200-YARD RECEIVING GAMES, 1978-
5 Jerry Rice
4 Calvin Johnson
3 Flipper Anderson
3 Isaac Bruce
3 Reggie Wayne
3 Terrell Owens
3 Wes Chandler
2 Art Monk
2 Chad Johnson
2 James Lofton
2 Jimmy Smith
2 Mark Duper
2 Plaxico Burress
2 Roddy White
2 Stephone Paige
2 Steve Smith
2 Torry Holt

Lions were in Minneapolis. Peterson had a big game too!

Thanks Adam. Don't know how I did that. All four of Megatron's 200-yard games, by the way, have been on the road (Oakland, Green Bay, New Orleans, Minnesota).

Must be because most of the yards came in catch up time. Was the perfect storm for facing both Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson. Vikings up and running, lions behind and passing! What is going on with Victor Cruz and Eli Manning? Is it their running game?

Cruz dropped a touchdown in the Bengals game.
