We are the Champions, my friend

Of Week 10, anyway. Fantasy Football Index's own Andy Richardson had the top score in Week 10 of the Fantasy Football Index Mock Draft. Andy's team total of 136 points got its biggest boost from QB Matthew Stafford (29) and TE Greg Olsen (22). And we're No.2! Too. Senior writer Ian Allan came in second with 127 points. Ian leads the overall season standing with a record of 77-29-4, with Michael Bronte of FFPC (Fantasy Football Players Championship) in second place at 64-45-1.

The field for the Fantasy Football Index Mock Auction consists of 12 teams -- 10 compiled by experts from our Experts Poll, plus two readers. Each competitor purchases a team of 22 players, operating with a $200 salary cap. The auction was held on May, and the results were published in the 2012 edition of the magazine.

Teams participate in a "best-ball" league, getting their best lineup of 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 PK and 1 Team D/ST from their roster.

The scoring system includes 1 point for every 20 passing yards and every 10 rushing/receiving yards. No points for receptions, 4 points for TD passes, and 6 points for all other touchdowns (rushing/receiving/returns). Defenses get 1 point for sacks and 2 points for takeaways.

To minimize luck, each team plays every other team every week. If you've got the highest score, you get 11 wins and no losses for that week. If three teams outscore you, you go 8-3. At the end of Week 16, whichever team has the best overall win-loss record is the champion.
