Around the NFL
The trend in the NFL, with great kick returners, is to try to incorportate them more into the offense in general. We saw it last year with Devin Hester, and we saw it a few years back with Dante Hall.
It looks like the Browns will follow suit with Joshua Cribbs.
He was phenomenal on kick returns last year, returning three for touchdowns and going to the Pro Bowl. And now, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, he’s seeing expanded duties as a field player at the team’s offseason workouts.
"We're putting in a nice package just to utilize more of my skills as well as everyone else's," Cribbs says. "Last year, we put in one or two plays a game, but this year, it will be on a more consistent basis. It's going to be more of an elaborate package for a change of pace."
