Randy McMichael’s value could be on the upswing.
The Rams have a new offensive coordinator (Al Saunders), and in their new system, it looks like their tight end will be more involved as a pass catcher, according to an article in today’s St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
McMichael was used primarily as a blocker to help a struggling offensive line. Now he’ll run more downfield routes now.
"He's going to have plenty of opportunities, for sure," says coach Scott Linehan.
"As soon as I found out that they'd hired Coach Saunders, I got really excited; this is the kind of offense I've dreamed of playing in my whole career," says McMichael.
Bill Coats authored the article. It can be accessed at St. Louis Today.
