Marcus Robinson retired this week as a member of the Chicago Bears. Robinson wasn’t a great player, but he was one of the league’s better deep threats when he was on his game.
He’s best remembered from coming out of essentially nowhere to put up huge numbers in 1999 – 84 catches, 1400 yards and 9 TDs.
The below chart shows the average distance of touchdowns scored by receivers in the last 10 years. All receivers who averaged over 35 yards per touchdowns are shown. Robinson is one of the few guys who appears on this list twice.
