Travis Henry’s career appears to be over

Posted Jul. 11 at 10:15 AM

Travis Henry has failed another NFL drug test, according to a report by FOX 31 in Denver.

Josina Anderson, citing a league source, says Henry tested positive for marijuana. The flunked test would likely result in Henry being hit with a one-year suspension by the league.

The report can be accessed right here.

Henry isn’t a great running back anyway, so this likely will end his NFL career. He’s 29 years old, and there are plenty of other running backs looking for work who come with far less baggage – most notably Shaun Alexander and Kevin Jones. Cedric Benson also needs a job. LaMont Jordan is probably the best of the remaining at-large running backs; he’ll likely be released soon by the Raiders – he definitely won’t be on their opening day roster.
