Pat Kirwan of NFL.com says it’s a virtual certainty that Brett Favre will play this season.
“I have talked with a few people close enough to Favre that I now feel comfortable that an 80 percent chance may be a conservative estimate,” writes Kirwan. “He's throwing footballs, working out and it's more than an itch to play.”
Kirwan’s story can be found at NFL.com.
If Favre returns this year, most likely it will be with the Packers – it would be tough for them to let him go. But if they do go that route, there are other teams that would be interested in him. The Vikings and Bears, certainly, would want him, but the Packers would be hesitant to let him play for another NFC North team. Other possibilities include the Bucs, Ravens, Dolphins, Panthers and Jets.
