Jaguars ended 2007 on a roll

Posted Jul. 18 at 12:49 PM

Here’s one that probably will surprise you:

Jacksonville’s offense, in the second half of last season, scored more touchdowns than the New England Patriots.

No kidding.

NEW ENGLAND, FINAL EIGHT GAMES:

20 TD passes, 9 TD runs

JACKSONVILLE, FINAL EIGHT GAMES:

19 TD passes, 12 TD runs

Make no mistake about it, the Jaguars are pretty good. They’ll play one of the league’s hardest schedules this year, which is a strike against them, but they also played a very difficult schedule last season, with their opponents going a combined 127-113 in games against other teams and allowing only 20.6 points per game (2nd-fewest in the league). Seems to me that this is one of the league’s most underrated teams and offenses. David Garrard and Maurice Jones-Drew, in my opinion, could slip way too far in fantasy drafts.

I received the FFI e-mail update last night and saw MJD @ 3rd RB for TD only format. I thought it was a misprint. MJD ahead of MBIII, ahead of Addai,,,,,?
