Around the NFL
The Packers have had their hands full trying to deal with the Brett Favre situation, but it’s hard to understand what they are thinking with their most recent contract offer to Ryan Grant.
The most recent proposal, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal includes only $1.75 million in guaranteed money.
Wow. This is for Ryan Grant, correct? The guy who stablized the team’s sputtering running game last season, rushing for about 1,000 yards in the second half of the season.
Grant is staying away from the team’s camp, and as much money as he’s hoping to get, it could be a while before he comes in.
I don’t see the point in the team even making the low-ball offer. All it’s going to do is annoy the player. And I would think they’d want to make a more serious effort to get him into camp – make things as easy as possible for Aaron Rodgers.
The story appears right here.
