Around the NFL
It looks like Brett Favre is back in play.
The league announced today that Favre will be reinstated on Monday. That means he’ll likely show up in Green Bay – in uniform – on Tuesday.
Where he winds up, of course, remains to be seen. The Packers want to go with Aaron Rodgers. They might try to keep Favre in a backup role (what a headache that would be), or they could trade him. The most interested team appears to be the Vikings, with the Bucs and Jets probably next in popularity.
It’s also still possible that Favre will accept a big payout to remain retired, but at this point, it looks far more likely that he’ll be playing.
