The knee injury Tarvaris Jackson suffered on Saturday night against Baltimore doesn’t appear to be serious.
“He just banged his knee,'' Brad Childress said in an Associated Press wrapup story. ''We're calling it a contusion right now ... I'm not concerned.”
Jackson should be fine for Minnesota’s opening game at Green Bay.
The injury brought back memories of the broken leg Michael Vick suffered in the preseason five years ago. Like Vick, Jackson is an athletic scrambler who likes to make plays with his legs. Even wears the same number. And that game was also against the Ravens.
