Around the NFL
Lawrence Tynes is undergoing knee surgery Friday, according to a report in today’s Star-Ledger in New Jersey. Could potentially cause him to miss the entire season.
That injury isn’t reflected in the revised rankings that went out a few hours back. We saw Tynes as a possible top-10 kicker; now, he’s pretty much a poison pick until it’s clear he’s going to play.
The Giants have Josh Huston on their roster. He potentially could be the guy, if necessary, who replaces Huston. But there are plenty of other kicking options who could potentially get into the mix as well.
The story can be accessed right here.

How about resigning feely

Stranger things have happened, but I think there's too much history with Feely. I think you're more like to see one of the other kickers who'll shake free in the next 10 days. Steven Hauschka, Dave Rayner, Aaron Elling, Olindo Mare or the loser of the battle in New Orleans (probably Martin Gramatica, but maybe Taylor Mehlhaff).
