Is Vince Young turning into another Michael Vick?
Sure looks that way. He’s not an accurate passer, can’t seem to read NFL coverages, and his effectiveness is waning as defenses are getting better against defending against his mobility.
Young suffered a knee injury against Jacksonville that will sideline him for up to four weeks, but more seriously, he just doesn’t seem to be picking up the team’s offense. He was horrible in the preseason, lousy on opening day, and some observers say they think he tried to take himself out of Sunday’s game after the crowd started booing him.
As badly as Young is struggling, the Titans maya opt to just leave Kerry Collins in the lineup for a few extra weeks while Young rehabs.
Columnist David Climer of The Tennesseean addresses the issue of whether Young tried to bail out on his team on Sunday.
