It looks like Jerry Porter won’t return until week 3.
The Florida Times-Union reports that although Porter has been practicing for two weeks (following surgery on his hamstring in July), he is unlikely to be active for Sunday’s game against the Bills.
"It's a game-time decision, but we're not leaning that way right now,” says Jack Del Rio. “I know he's anxious to go, but we're going to be smart about it."
This is good news for Matt Jones and Reggie Williams. Now, it’s clear those guys are going to play more, meaning they should put up better numbers. In our eyes, Williams is the more likely of the two to score, while Jones is more likely to lead the team in catches and yards.
Dennis Northcutt should be the team’s slot receiver. Troy Williamson has been ruled out of this game, so Mike Walker should be their No. 4.
