300-Yard Passers

Posted Aug. 19 at 11:53 PM

Some leagues award bonus points for quarterbacks who post 300-yard passing games. Peyton Manning will be the top quarterback by almost any measurement, but judging by last year’s statistics, the players to target first in fantasy drafts on that basis include Drew Brees, Marc Bulger, Donovan McNabb and Jon Kitna.

The number of 300-yard passing games that each team managed in 2006 is presented below.

300-yard passers, by team

8     New Orleans, St. Louis

6     Indianapolis, Philadelphia

4     Detroit

3     Arizona, Dallas, Green Bay, New England, N.Y. Jets

2     Buffalo, Carolina, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, San Diego

1     Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Kansas City, Miami, N.Y. Giants, Tampa Bay, Washington

0     Atlanta, Cleveland, Denver, Jacksonville, Minnesota, Oakland, San Francisco, Seattle, Tennessee
