Around the NFL
Some nice nuggets today in the Cowboys blog of The Dallas Morning News:
Wade Phillips says there’s a chance Tony Romo won’t miss three-four games. Romo has a broken pinkie, but the injury won’t require surgery, and Romo will make some throws at practice today. Maybe – just maybe – he’ll even play Sunday. A few years back, Drew Bledsoe played with a more severe finger injury.
And Deion Sanders weighs in with a “nay” vote on the Roy Williams trade. Sanders says he thinks it may have been a panic move, prompted by Tony Romo or offensive coordinator Jason Garrett asking for an additional wide receiver. And Sanders isn’t completely sold on Williams.
"It raises your eyebrows when a franchise gives up their best player, their best receiver,” Sanders says. “There's a problem there. What's the problem? I don't understand. I've done my homework, checked on Roy. I don't think Roy's the hardest worker inside that Detroit Lion locker room that's coming over here.”
There’s also some Pacman Jones stuff in this blog, as well as click here.thrown-down between Boomer Esiason and Troy Aikman.
