Brad Johnson will start for Dallas at St. Louis, says owner Jerry Jones.
Tony Romo, Jones says, will be active for the game but won’t play – at least that’s the plan.
The Dallas Morning News says it’s unclear if Romo will be either the backup or the third quarterback.
Johnson isn’t much of a quarterback. He’s 40 and doesn’t have the same kind of downfield throwing ability as Romo. But in a favorable matchup against a soft Rams defense, Johnson is worth consideration in fantasy leagues as a fill-in starter.
