Around the NFL
The Patriots and Jets are kicking off in about two hours.
Sammy Morris (knee) and LaMont Jordan (calf) are both expected to be inactive for this game. That’s good news for those holding Kevin Faulk and BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
Weather looks iffy for this one. It’s 45 degrees and cloudy right now, and there’s a 70 percent chance of rain. Those kind of conditions could dictate a more conservative approach – more inside running. Given the weather conditions, look for Green-Ellis to be New England’s best offensive player in this game.
I expect a low-scoring, dull game. Something along the lines of 23-13 for New England. The Jets have scored more than 17 points in only one of their last 12 games against New England.
