Email Receipt was not received

If you did not receive a receipt via e-mail

Whenever you place an order via our web store, we will attempt to send you a receipt via e-mail (we do not attempt to send a receipt when you place your order by telephone or through the mail, however).

If the receipt is returned to us, then we will attempt to call you and confirm the e-mail address. Please provide us with a current phone number when you place your order! If you provide us with home and work numbers, it increases our chance of reaching you in an emergency. We never rent or sell your customer information to anyone (see our privacy policy). We never telemarket. Since we started business in 1987, we have never placed an outbound sales call for our magazines or newsletters.

If your credit card is not approved, then we will attempt to send you a message to let you know. We will attempt to call you if that notice is returned to us. Again, we don't e-mail an error notification if you place your order by telephone or through the mail.

If you don't receive a receipt, you may wish to review your order history online.

Causes of common delivery problems

Did you give us a valid e-mail address? America Online users often forget the numerical portion of their address (e.g. they give us edwin@aol.com instead of edwin27@aol.com).

If your Internet service provider allows you to configure your mail controls, to block unsolicited e-mail (or e-mail with attachments), then you may be blocking our mail. Be sure your mail controls are configured to accept mail from the fantasyindex.com domain (and in particular, from the accounts sales@fantasyindex.com and emailbot@fantasyindex.com.)

Some network administrators use anti-junkmail software that mistakenly thinks our e-mail is "spam.". We transmit updates using bulk e-mail software. We usually send multiple messages with similar headers. For instance, we may send your update in three or four pieces, each with nearly-identical information in the header. And we may transmit it to many dozens of persons in your domain (e.g. hotmail.com, excite.com, etc.) simultaneously. The network administrator's anti-spam software (or your personal anti-junkmail settings) may misinterpret our messages as spam. Their software can't tell the difference between Internet Viagra sales and fantasy player ratings. In the past, we've had this kind of trouble with Hotmail, America Online, MSN, Yahoo, home.com and Southwest Bell. If you suspect this is the case, then please contact us. More important, please contact your Internet service provider's abuse department. ISPs respond slowly to our complaints (they perceive us as the spammer), but they'll jump at your request for assistance.

If you use a free e-mail service such as Hotmail, it's possible that your mailbox is full (i.e. you are over quota). Please clean out your mailbox and then contact us at customerservice@fantasyindex.com.

Failing these suggestions, you should probably call us at 206-527-4444 during business hours. Our automated e-mail robot occasionally locks up and you may notice the problem before we do (especially if the problem occurs overnight).
