Question:

Arizona plays at Minnesota on Sunday. In 1991, these teams met twice in the regular season -- once in Arizona, and once in Minnesota. Why?

At that time, the two fifth-place teams in each conference would play each other to make the schedule work. It's a practice that was discontinued when Jacksonville and Carolina joined the league as the 29th and 30th franchises in 1995.
