I didn’t understand the signing of Greg Olsen. He’s an older guy who might be breaking down, and I thought Seattle was set at tight end with Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister. But the Seahawks signed him to a nice contract, so I guess they think he’ll be an upgrade at that position.  more »

Factoid: Seattle tight ends

The Seahawks signed 35-year-old Greg Olsen to a one-year, $7 million deal back in February. It was a surprising move. Olsen's had a great career and is far more accomplished when what Seattle had on its roster, but it's a curious allocation of resources.   more »

The Seattle Seahawks are likely to feature a “tight end by committee” this year, with no single tight end dominating playing time as the season begins. Tight end WILL DISSLY playedMore well early last season, but he is recovering from a season-ending knee injury.
