Torn ACLs not what they used to be?

Adrian Peterson shockingly had a 2000-yard season after tearing his ACL in Week 16 the previous year. Peterson's a physical freak, but it's looking like he'll have company in players making quick returns to health from a late-season knee injury, in Bills tight end Scott Chandler.

Chandler tore his ACL in Week 16 a year ago, but he's running routes and catching passes at Bills OTA activities this week. "The injury is different than it used to be," says Chandler.

Chandler of course doesn't have nearly the fantasy appeal that Adrian Peterson has, but it's telling that the Bills didn't add any noteworthy pass catchers at tight end in the offseason, and neither did the Steelers (after Heath Miller blew out his knee late last season). Perhaps those players will be ready to go far sooner than you'd expect. Chandler at least looks like he's on his way.
