There have been only 14 100-yard rushing games this year, and over a third of those haven't even been by starting running backs. Green Bay leads the way, with backups coming off the bench to run over for over 100 in back-to-back games.
LeSean McCoy has been the dominant runner so far, with two of the three games over 150.
But a lot of the 100-yard games have been by surprise players.
The Patriots benched Stevan Ridley in Week 1, helping Shane Vereen go over 100. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor went over 100. And when Chris Ivory hurt a hamstring today, Bilal Powell stepped up and went for 149.
It's crazy.
