Inaccurate passers

Josh Freeman well short of 50 percent

Somebody find Akili Smith. His mark for lowest completion percentage in this century is in danger. Josh Freeman is overthrowing receivers at an unprecedented rate.

The Vikings, for whatever reason, want to see more. They're going to start him in Week 8 against a Green Bay defense that's been tough.

Freeman was wildly inaccurate in Tampa Bay, and he was even worse on Monday night in New York, completing only 20 of 53 passes. Part of that was simply not knowing the offense, but he overthrew a lot of wide-open guys.

Here's how he stacks up against the lowest completion percentages we've seen in this century (among quarterbacks with at least 200 attempts). Only six have completed under 50 percent of their passes, and Freeman looks like he'll be joining that group.
