The Jets have signed former Broncos wideout Eric Decker, and rarely has a team more in need of a player at a position been able to secure a better one. The 5-year, $36.25 million contract gives the Jets a chance at having something they haven't had in any of the four years Decker has been in the league -- a 1,000-yard wideout.
Decker was of course catching passes from Peyton Manning the last two seasons, and now he'll be working with Geno Smith. But even Decker's season working with Tim Tebow was better than all but four seasons by a Jets wideout since 2010. Only once in those four years did a Jets wideout catch as many touchdowns (8) as Decker caught in any of the last three seasons, one with Tebow and two with Manning.
Best receiving seasons by Decker and every Jets receiver (including running backs and tight ends) from 2010 through 2013 are presented below.
