Quarterbacks are putting up bigger numbers than ever before. This is something we’ve talked about. Teams last year averaged 5 more touchdown passes than they did 10 years ago.
For fantasy purposes, then, the name of the game is now to land one of those quarterbacks with the potential to blow up for 35, 38, 40 touchdowns or more.
In each of the last three years, at least three quarterbacks have reached 35 touchdowns. Previously, that had never happened in NFL history.
All of the 35-touchdown quarterbacks are shown here. Note that touchdowns include not only passes but also runs.
