Teams are scoring more points than ever before. Part of this can be attributed to rules changes making it easier to pass. Most notably, safeties aren’t allowed to blow up wide receivers in the middle of the field anymore.
But more teams have also figured out that tempo is a weapon. More teams are using hurry-up systems at least at times, squeezing more plays into games.
Here’s the list of the 25 teams from the last 10 years that have run the most offensive plays. Of these teams, all but nine have played in the last two years.
More plays means more yards and more points.
