Rams wide receivers

The Rams have a wide receiving corps that can best be described as unsettled. Kenny Britt, Brian Quick and Tavon Austin have been the top three wideouts in the exhibitions. Stedman Bailey seems to be next, although maybe the fact that he's suspended for the first four games of the season is a factor there -- why play him as a starter when he won't be there the first month?

In any case, it's a corps without a clear No. 1, and the last two seasons worth of football don't bring a lot of clarity. I went through the game logs for each player over the last 2 seasons (so 2 seasons each for Quick and Britt, and 1 for Austin and Bailey, who were rookies last year). Sorted by top yardage games over that time.

Collectively, the four have combined for 15 games where they put up at least 40 receiving yards. Britt has 6 of those, while Austin, Bailey and Quick each have 3. It's more heavily skewed for Britt if you leap all the way up to 50 receiving yards. Britt has 4 of the 6 games from those four receivers with at least 50 receiving yards.

We already knew, of course, that Britt had the best NFL resume of the players. Is that guy still in there? At least based on what they've brought to the table so far, Britt, even in the last couple of seasons that got him discarded by Tennessee, is more likely than the other guys to emerge as the team's leading receiver.

I kind of like Bailey, but it's true that he hasn't done much yet in the NFL. And not playing until Week 5 won't help his cause.

Best receiving games by those four players from the past two years are presented below.
