Peyton Manning

Denver gets Super Bowl rematch -- but in Seattle

Do you bench Peyton Manning this week? He’s a great quarterback, but it’s not easy putting up big numbers at Seattle.

Since the start of the 2012, the Seahawks have played seven top-level quarterbacks at home. Only one of those quarterbacks has thrown more than one touchdown pass. Three of them haven’t even passed for 200 yards.

Tough matchup for Manning. He struggled in his last game against this defense (in the Super Bowl), with 2 interceptions and only one touchdown. Manning finished with 280 yards, but much of that came in the second half, long after the score was no longer in doubt.

Unless you also have Drew Brees sitting on your bench, you always start Peyton Manning. Seattle was exposed last week by San Diego and I'm sure Manning is studying that film and Denver will have a gameplan to mimic those results. Not sure if they get the win but Peyton will be fine and you will regret it if you sit him.

Well, I'm sure Seattle is also studying the film and figuring out how to counteract those Chargers formations. I would bench Manning if I had a good alternative QB; let's not forget that while very good this season, he's not ridiculous like last year (although Welker returning will obviously help).
