Big day for Vikings

The Vikings-Falcons game confirmed that it's a pretty soft defense the Falcons are sending out there. The surprise is in the players who went off for Minnesota.

Cordarrelle Patterson, everyone's favorite breakout receiver in Minnesota, hasn't done anything since the opener. Today it was Jarius Wright (8 for 132) and the running back duo of Matt Asiata (3 TDs) and Jerick McKinnon (135 yards and a touchdown ruled short of the goal line on replay review).

Asiata is owned in most fantasy leagues, but McKinnon is probably available in some, and Wright in all. They'll be among the main waiver pickups. Maybe Teddy Bridgewater, too.

Bridgewater left the game early with an ankle injury, but initial reports are favorable; he says he'll play Thursday. Big matchup with the Packers, and Minnesota won't want to be down to Christian Ponder, based on Bridgewater's play today.

It looks reasonable to expect an Asiata-McKinnon committee from this point forward. Wright is a trickier case; he'll likely remain the No. 3 behind Jennings and Patterson. But there's a rapport there with Bridgewater, so he should be added just in case.
