For a receiver to catch a bunch of touchdowns, it helps if that player is used around the goal line. Thru three weeks, 19 players around the league have seen at least 3 balls on pass plays when their team has been inside the 10.
Larry Donnell, Randall Cobb and Julius Thomas are the only players who’ve caught 4 TDs inside the 10 (for Donnell, this includes his early Week 4 game). They’re also the only players who’ve seen 5-plus targets in that area.
Surprise players with 4 targets include Ahmad Bradshaw and Lamar Miller.
Andre Johnson hasn’t caught any passes inside the 10, but at least he’s seen 3 targets, which is a sign he’ll probably be used more around the end zone than he has been in the past.
