Falcons growing dangerously thin up front

It's pretty much all doom-and-gloom in the NFC South right now, where the Bucs are putrid, the Saints only slightly better, and both the Panthers and Falcons have failed to impress in their 2-2 starts. But if we had to put, you know, either Cats or Birds in the division's catbird seat, we would have to lean toward Carolina at the moment. Three of the Falcons' starting offensive linemen are on IR, the status of a fourth is in question, and the lone healthy guy is a rookie (first-rounder Jake Matthews). Things got so bad last Sunday that TE Levine Toilolo finished the game at right tackle. Things got so bad thereafter that the AJC published a column entitled "Falcons' implosion may have just begun." We hate to say it, but we have to agree. Now might be the time to deal QB Matt Ryan and even emerging megastar WR Julio Jones.
