Since the NFL went to the 16-game schedule in 1978, only one time has a player run for over 100 yards with under 5 rushing attempts. That was Brian Mitchell, for the Eagles against Atlanta in 2000.
Now, this year alone, it’s happened twice. Cordarrelle Patterson did it on opening day for the Vikings, and Lavatius Murray went for 112 yards on four carries against Kansas City before leaving with a concussion.
