The Bengals signed free agent wide receiver Denarius Moore the other day, and it's not a signing that got a great deal of attention. Moore has been a disappointment with the Raiders the last couple of seasons, and caught only 12 passes all of last year.
But in Cincinnati Moore will be reunited with his former coach in Oakland, Hue Jackson. Jackson is now the offensive coordinator in Cincinnati, and he's excited to have Moore on board. “He can get a fresh start here and we’re glad to have him. You just never know.”
Cincinnati has A.J. Green and Mohamed Sanu, but not much else at receiver. And Moore has an impressive track record in terms of getting in the end zone; a guy who tends to get downfield and turn catches into touchdowns.
Ian Allan posted the below table last week, of receivers scoring on the highest percentage of their receptions over the last five seasons. Moore came in 8th on that list.
