Arian Foster is expected to miss half the season or more with a groin injury, so Houston is in the market for a free agent running back. Plenty of names available, but reports are that the team hopes to sign Pierre Thomas. Odd that they wouldn't make Chris Johnson the favorite.
Johnson used to face Houston twice per season, and he put up some big numbers against them. In 12 career meetings, he went over 125 rushing yards five times and put up at least 97 total yards seven times. Even with a couple of duds he's averaged 112 total yards per game against them. He's 29 years old and presumably still has something left in the tank.
Johnson's career numbers against Houston, sorted by total yards, are presented below.
