It's hard to have any optimism about drafting, let alone starting, Vernon Davis. He comes off a dismal 2014 season, and there's little reason to think 2015 will be any better. But say this for Davis: he often comes to play in Week 1.
Davis has played nine seasons in the league, and in those nine Week 1 games, he's caught at least 5 passes five times and caught 6 TDs. Doesn't seem to be the same player or part of the passing game he was in most of those years, but it's a noteworthy history. Five of those touchdowns have come in the last three years.
