Question

Philip Rivers on Sunday passed for 503 yards, a single-game record for San Diego. Who is the only quarterback who holds that same record for two different franchises? This quarterback has started a Super Bowl game, and he had one game that was even bigger than Rivers'.

Answer

Boomer Esiason, who passed for 490 yards against the Rams as a Bengal in 1990, then passed for 522 yards for Arizona against Washington in 1996. Vinny Testaverde comes close. He holds the Baltimore record and had games over 460 with two other franchises. Peyton Manning and Jake Plummer also have games over 460 with two different franchises, but just one team record for each guy.
